3 Strands is happy to congratulate Brian and Jenny Penar on the birth of their daughter Emmalee who arrived this morning around 6:00am. Mom and daughter are both well and at home.

On July 3rd at 6:00pm 3Strands is hosting an early Independence Day Celebration. Join us for hamburgers, hotdogs, games and fireworks! Bring a side item, a chair and a friend or two! See ya there!
I’ll probably have to turn in my “Man Card” to the nearest authority for admitting this but yeah….I watched part of the Royal Wedding this morning. It was a huge historical and cultural event rife with all the pageantry the English Royals can muster. You can check out other websites for reactions to the wedding dress, William’s choice of uniform and the roster of royal friends who made up the cavalry because I have no intention in weighing in on any of that. I did, however, have one thought and it here it is. This wedding was fantastic, but it cannot even begin to compare in elegance or significance to mine, or to yours if you belong to Jesus. One day He’s coming back and on that day those who belong to Him will meet Him as His pure and spotless bride. Check out Revelation 21 for yourself. England does it well, but Heaven throws a wedding that’s out of this world and I’m looking forward to being a part of it!
Today, Palm Sunday, marks one of the most significant weeks in the whole year for a Christian. This is the week we remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as the promised Messiah. It’s the week we remember the growing opposition of the religious leaders and their plots against Him. It’s this week we remember Jesus celebrating Passover with His disciples and leaving us a meal by which to remember Him. It’s this week we remember His arrest, His trials, the punishment He endured, and the death He died in our place – for our sins. And it’s this week we celebrate the fact that death could not defeat Jesus, the grave could not hold Him and on the third day He burst out if the tomb bringing forgiveness and life to all who would accept Him.
This is a HUGE week and at 3 Strands we’d love to have you join us to remember and celebrate what Jesus has done. There are tons of opportunities this week including events for kids Wednesday and Saturday, a Passover Meal Thursday Evening, and worship Sunday morning at 10:30am.
